Happy Easter!

We pray that you all had a reflective holy week and exciting Easter!

We've had some ups and downs in the past couple of months, and it was great therapy this holy week to focus on Jesus and celebrate his great love and power.  John enjoyed getting to preach a lot throughout the week - although now that the holidays are over we are also glad to have a little down time.

Vera can't quite understand all of the depth of Easter just yet, but she did really enjoy finding easter eggs and opening them up to find surprise treats!!

We are gearing up for spring here, although it feels a little weird to say, since it was actually snowing most of the day today!  We have some tomato plants growing inside for this year's garden, and a few more seeds to get started.  It's our second week of getting produce from a local organic farm cooperative that we joined - we are really enjoying all of the tasty salad greens that are in season right now. 

In keeping with the newness of spring, we bought a "new" car too - a 2008 Focus.  The maintenance of our older cars was getting to be fairly burdensome, not to mention we could use some better gas mileage!
