A Wonderful Christmastime

Now that the busy holiday season has subsided, we are finally finding some time to upload pictures and share our Christmas memories.  We had a great time this year, and found ourselves pondering the birth of Christ in new ways, given a recent birth of our own!

Vera made our holidays particularly fun this year.  She decided on the perfect Christmas gift - on Christmas Eve night she slept for eight hours in one shot!  Fortunately it was not a total fluke and it has been a gift that for the most part keeps on giving.  :)

This happens to be the only family picture we got on Christmas, so here it is.  Vera was a bit tired from the family party!

At first Vera thought her presents were pretty intimidating, but once she got her hands on them, she wouldn't let them go. 

While we were home we attempted a little photo shoot with Jack and Vera... which proved to be ill-timed and difficult.... but pretty cute nonetheless.  The two cousins:

Among Christmas mayhem at the Hile family, Vera sleeps peacefully.  We think of Jesus in the manger when we see this picture, and well, he did come to bring peace to a world full of mayhem.
