Seder!!!

This year we continued the annual Hile tradition and had Passover Seder with our church small group! It was a great way to prepare for Holy Week and Easter!

As usual, we had the traditional foods - lamb, haroseth, matzos, parsley, horseradish, and hard boiled eggs.

Making haroseth (apples with walnuts, cinnamon, and wine)...

The lamb... just out of the oven! yumm

Here is a shot of the Elijah plate - the tradition is to set aside food for Elijah (the coming Messiah). Among our group it is also referred to in fun as the "Jesus plate" since he is the new awaited Messiah! I am still not quite sure how Elijah/Jesus got two eggs. He must be extra special!
