We know that Valentine's Day is pretty much a made up holiday, but we don't really care! We love the excuse to go out and have fun together, and this year was no exception. It was especially a welcomed holiday since I was away from home in California all last week on business, leaving John alone all week. :( I know, I'm a terrible wife.
Hopefully I made it up to John by spending all weekend with him, and today we celebrated the "holiday" by going to the symphony at Powell Hall. It was our first experience of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and we had a great time! We heard a special concert of romantic pieces, including:
Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet
Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor
Berloiz' Love Scene from Romeo et Juliette
Ravel's Daphnis et Chloe
