The Mystery Vernors

Ok, so we just last week were telling our friends Todd and Kelly about all of the great things that are unique to Michigan, since they are moving there for their vicarage this month. One of the things we mentioned was Vernors, and for those of you who don't know, this is a gingerale that is quite unlike any other gingerale, and in my opinion is amazing, but you can only get it in Michigan.

So just now we were at the grocery store to pick up a few items, and as we stood in the checkout line, noticed a mysterious 2-liter of Diet Vernors on the conveyer just about to be purchased by the woman in front of us. We looked at each other in confusion. Vernors?

So I was way over-excited, more than one should be about a beverage... and ran to check the shelves. But..... no Vernors. what the heck?!

Maybe it was just a dream.

Tonight as I was being cashier at Schnucks--I saw cans labeled vernors go through my lane. It's the first time I've seen them--or maybe the first time I took notice of them...but either way, you're not going crazy!

Yep. I've seen them here. My college roommate loved it and thought it was just in MI. She was thrilled too. (I didn't care for it, but that doesn't mean squat.)

I've had vernors! And its good! Although, I've never had Ginger Ale at all before, so I don't even have a reference point to compare it to ...

...but it was good!
