Back in the day, where I probably belong, people cared about the important aspects of life. For instance, people (and by this I mean every person living at that time) knew that prepositions were not appropriate for ending clauses with, that latin phrases were clever per se, and could be used ad infinitum, and that commas ought never to be spliced, this is not good. Most of all, no one used "unnecessary" quotation marks.
So you can imagine my outrage (and curiosity) when I saw this sign going down to the basement of one of the buildings in our apartment complex. Good thing for us, we have "laundry" inside our apartment.

Argh!!! Why can't my fellow Americans learn the proper use of punctuation??!! Sad state of affairs.
