Last week our friend Steve had a birthday party, and anyone who knows Steve would not be surprised to know that this particular party came with a challenge: to bring a picture of a mythical creature wearing a birthday hat.
Anyone who knows us knows that the Hiles do not shy away from a challenge. So we met Steve's birthday challenge (some might say surpassed), and in the process I found out that I have a back-up career waiting for me in cake decorating - that is, if engineering doesn't work out. I should also mention that John's degree in Classical Studies finally paid off.

The cake looks great Kelly, but if you do decide to go into cake decorating you might want to ask aunt Carol for a few pointers (just to be safe) :-)
